Lincolnwood Memorial Day ceremony scheduled Monday

The village of Lincolnwood and American Legion Post No. 1226 invite residents and businesses to participate in Monday’s annual Memorial Day parade and festivities.

All groups participating in the parade that honors those who served our country will assemble at 9:45 a.m. Monday, May 28, at Kow-Kow Restaurant, at the corner of Pratt and Cicero avenues.

Walking groups are asked to wear uniforms or a similar color. Individuals who may be members of multiple groups are asked to dress and participate in one group only.

The parade route travels east along Pratt Avenue, turns north on Keeler Avenue and ends at Madeleine’s Garden in Proesel Park.

At about 11 a.m., a Memorial Day ceremony will take place in Madeleine’s Garden.
