7 Old Country Buffets close in region

Old Country Buffets Inc. has closed six restaurants in the Chicago area, including Countryside and Northlake, in connection with the company’s bankruptcy filing.
A company spokesman said Friday the chain has closed restaurants in Bradley, Countryside, Joliet, Lombard, Naperville, Northlake, and West Dundee. The company said it was closing 81 of its nearly 500 restaurants in 38 states.
Parent company Buffets Inc., based in Eagan, Minn., filed a bankruptcy reorganization petition Wednesday in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Delaware.
