Lincolnwood and Skokie residents enjoyed their Fourth of July in a number of ways throughout the day.
The Lincolnwood Youth Strings Orchestra brought out the patriotic spirit with a holiday concert Wednesday morning in Proesel Park. The concert paid tribute to the men and women in the U.S. armed forces.
In Skokie, families from both communities enjoyed the annual Independence Day parade and the evening fireworks show at dusk.
